FORMULATION AND IN VITRO - IN VIVO EVALUATION OF TETANUS TOXOID-MANNITOL DRY POWDER INHALATION FOR PULMONARY DELIVERY

Objective: A dry powder inhalation of tetanus toxoid and mannitol was prepared evaluated for stability its immunogenicity in comparison to the conventional TT vaccine.
 Material Method: particle size analysis, FTIR, flow properties, encapsulation efficiency, flocculation, vitro drug vaccine release studies. Immunological studies formulation were performed on BALB/c mice. 
 Result Discussion: The blend remained stable under process conditions after storage. result confirmed through a flocculation test. No interactions reported according FTIR analysis. homogenization yielded with geometrical diameter 1312 ± 1310.9 nm which found suitable pulmonary administration. zeta potential PDI be -22.6 0.16 mV 0.499 0.015, respectively. diffusion indicated immediate 82.4 6.7% released within 2 h following mechanism zero order kinetics. Additionally, properties have good properties. More importantly, immunological inferred induction high systemic mucosal immunity over vaccines.
